Sections: Premier Section (FIDE rated), U2000 Section, U1600 Section. U1100 Section.
Time Control: G/100 + 30 sec increment
Rounds: Saturday 12:00 noon, 5:00pm, Sunday 10:00am, 5:00pm, Monday 10:00am, 3:00pm
Prizes: $5000 Guaranteed Prize Fund
Premier Section: $1200, $700, $400; Top U2200 $400 Top BC player qualifies for the BC Closed
U2000 Section: $650, $400; Top U1800 $200
U1600 Section: $300, $200, Top U1400 $100
U1100 Section: $150, $100
Top Scoring Unrated (any section) $150, $50
Prizes will be paid out by PayPal or cheque within 48 hours after the event.

You may play up a section up to 200 rating points above your rating lifetime high. Add $20 if playing up and your rating is within 100 points of the section boundary. Add $40 if playing up and your rating is more than 100 points of the section boundary (eligibility to play up based on lifetime high, play up fees based on current rating). 2nd & higher entries from one family receive a family discount of $30. Free Entry to those rated over 2400 FIDE provided you register by May first, otherwise EF deducted from prize (if any).
Accommodation: Executive Airport Plaza Hotel 1-800-663-2878 or 1-604-278-5555 $149 /night single/double. Free parking /WiFi for guests. Quote “Keres Memorial Chess Tournament” to get the rate. Note, the group rate is guaranteed only if you book by April 19.
Transportation: By car, parking $7.00/day (must purchase ticket from organizer). By Skytrain to Brighouse station, then ~10 minute walk.
Registration: Online , by cheque payable to Victoria Chess 1012 Spiritwood Pl. Victoria, BC V8Y 1C6, or onsite from 10:30-11:30am Saturday.
