Who Should Attend The MASTER Chess Training Camp?

The MASTER Chess training camp is for boys and girls keen on improving their chess and those ready to put in some hard work to achieve some level of victory at the 2020 Canadian Youth Chess Championship (CYCC) and the 2020 Canadian Open. The camp is ideal for all levels of players from those that have never played chess to advanced chess players. Our program will cover curriculum suitable for novice, beginners, intermediate and advanced level chess players. The students will be grouped based on their skill level and will receive specific coaching that will help them:

  • develop a disciplined approach to thinking and calculation in chess
  • master chess opening strategies to maintain advantage and get an edge early in the game
  • learn how to develop both short-term and long-term plans in the middle game
  • develop their chess tactical and strategic abilities
  • master basic and advanced end games
  • learn how to analyze and learn from their games using various chess engines

This camp will be different from other camps you may have attended in the past as every student will be required to put in some hard work to get the best outcomes from the training. So there will be daily homework and lots of opportunities to put into practice what is learned through simulated games and actual competitive games.

Registration Fee: $375 for 1 week (or $125 per day); Early Bird Discount of $50 (or $20 per day) if paid by May 25; 10% discount for additional family member; Extra $25 for on-site registration, if spaces are available.

Pre-registration is required as spaces are limited to a maximum of 30.
