Format
RAPID – 5 Round Swiss | CFC active rated | CFC membership is required.
Rounds: RAPID: Rd 1 – 10 AM; Rd 2 – 11:30 AM; Rd 3 – 1:30 PM; Rd 4 – 3:00 PM; Round 5 – 4:30 PM
Sections: OPEN, U-1600, and U-1000 (Note: Sections may be combined if we don’t have sufficient registered players)
Time Control: 25 mins per game plus a 5-sec increment
BYES
1/2 points for rounds 1-4. Only 2 byes allowed
The byes MUST be requested in advance during registration or at the latest prior to the end of the previous round

EARLY BIRD Entry fee (Ends September 18, 2023 at Midnight): $40 All Sections
REGULAR Entry fee (Ends October 2, 2023 at Midnight): $45 All Sections
LATE Entry fee (Ends October 6, 2023 at Midnight): $50 All Sections
Play Up Fee: $10 (Rating must be within 100 points of the rating floor for the section)
FREE Registration for IMs/GMs and for all EMC Private Club Members (Send an email with your Full name and CFC ID to info@elevatemychess.com to register)
PRIZES
Minimum Prize Fund – $300 ($100 per section)
Maximum Prize Fund – 100% of proceeds from registration in excess of $800 (Open – 40%; U1600 – 35%; U1000 – 25%)
Unrated may not win over $100 in U1600 & U1000
Water and chess equipment will be provided.
CONSENT FOR FILMING & PHOTOGRAPHY
By registering for our event, you consent and agree to our Notice of Filming & Photography.
Refund Policy: No cash refunds on withdrawal. Credit for an equal amount will be given if you notify us of withdrawal on or before September 30, 2023. Credits can be used to register for tournaments and other programs offered by Elevate My Chess. Your registration fee will be forfeited if you don’t notify us of withdrawals on or before September 30, 2023. However, consideration for credit will be considered in special circumstances on a case-by-case basis.
