Sponsorship Details
World Youth Chess Championship (WYCC) & World Cadet Chess Championship (WCCC)
The FIDE WYCC and WCCC are international youth chess tournaments. The top three players from each section of the CYCC automatically qualify for these events. The champion of each section become the official representatives to WYCC and WCCC and will be sponsored by the CFC! In addition, the top three players, including those tied for 2nd and 3rd also automatically qualify to participate in the PanAmerican Youth Chess Championship and the North American Youth Chess Championship.
Sponsorship Amounts
The CFC will sponsor top players in each section of the CYCC as follows:
- CHAMPIONS: Up to $3,000 in total financial benefit covering flights, FIDE and WCCC/WYCC Registration fees
- 2ND & 3RD PLACE WINNERS: Approximately $500 if you choose to compete at the WYCC/WCCC
- Additional incentives for those that participate in the PAN AM and/or NAYCC
Official player’s accommodation and meals are covered by the host organizer.

Available to the U14, U16, and U18 (open and girls) sections.
When: September 7 – 20, 2020
Where: Mamaia, Romania
Timeline:

- CFC Youth Fund – $150 for players who don’t finish top 3

North American Youth Chess Championship
When: June 18 – 23, 2020
Where: Chicago, USA
The North American Youth Championship is a FIDE rated event for eligible players to compete for trophies, norms and FIDE titles.

World Cadet Chess Championship (WCCC)
Available to the U8, U10, and U12 (open and girls) sections.
When: October 18 – 31, 2020
Where: Batumi, Georgia

Pan American Youth Chess Championship
When: July 25 – August 5, 2020
Where: Florianopolis, Brasil
