You’re invited to join our monthly online CFC Rated Rapid tournaments.
These online CFC Rapid rated tournaments are played on chess.com in two sections. Pairings are done using CFC Active Ratings. To be eligible for cash prizes, you must sign on to zoom during your games.
When: Typically on Saturdays
Where: Online on chess.com/live
Format: 5 Round Swiss, CFC Active Rated. CFC or FQE membership is required for Canadian players and FIDE or USCF ID required for others.
Round Times: Vary
Sections: OPEN and U1300 (Note: We may only have a section if we don’t have enough registered participants for two sections. We may also have more sections based on registered participants)
Time Controls: 15 mins plus 10 sec increments – All Sections
Byes: 1/2 points for rounds 1 to 4. Zero-point by for round 5.
The byes MUST be requested in advance during registration. We cannot guarantee that byes will be accepted during the tournament.
